Spirit of Place Swinford Near Completion

After 10 days the Spirit of Place Swinford is near completion. The Spirit of Place students and team since first arriving to begin construction, have put in a tremendous amount of effort over the last 10 days or so. Thankfully they have only had to endure one or 2 days of poor weather conditions since then! Here are some of the many photos taken at the Spirit of Place installation since work began on the 29th June.

The official unveiling of the Spirit of Place Swinford “Procession Of The Souls” memorial will take place this Friday 10th July. The procession will meet at Swinford Church at 5.45 and proceed to the Paupers Graveyard. There will be mass and a dedication lead by Bishop Brendan Kelly. Afterwards there will be a community celebration held in Swinford Cultural Center where there will be refreshments and entertainment provided. All in the community are invited.
