National Tidy Towns Awards 2023 Results

The National Tidy Towns Awards 2023 results were announced earlier today at the awards ceremony which was held in Croke Park. This is the 65th year of the Tidy Towns competition with over 1000 Tidy Towns committee’s and groups, along with over 30,000 volunteers that took part in this years competition. Abbeyleix in Co Laois was announced the overall winner in this years National tidy towns competition.

Swinford tidy towns committee were delighted to have been awarded 311 points this year, an increase of 10 points from last year. This would not have been possible without the dedicated commitment of all our volunteers, especially Deirdre and all the Tús crew. We also like to thank all the RSS crew for all the work that they do around Swinford. They have done outstanding work throughout the year and the town is a credit to them.
