Last Years National Spring Clean was a huge success with over 72 bags of cans, bottles, plastic and rubbish collected and recycled! The National Spring Clean campaign, Ireland’s largest anti-litter initiative, has been taking place nationwide throughout the month of April and saw more than half a million people come together in community groups to organise clean ups to improve their local community and environment. Swinford Tidy Towns take part in the spring clean every year on Good Friday morning. The National Spring Clean is Ireland’s largest anti-litter initiative organised by An Taisce and funded by the Department of the Environment, Community and Local Government.
