An Information talk on composting and food waste prevention will take place on Tuesday 1st of April at 8pm in the Gateway Hotel Swinford. Talk will be given by Sharon Cameron, Environment Awareness Officer with Mayo County Council. If you are thinking about starting composting for your own garden, or if you are already composting and maybe having some problems with the process, then come along and find out what you may be doing wrong. Sharon will explain the best way to start off your compost bin/pile and will advise on the “do’s” and “don’t’s” of composting & will answer any questions you have regarding composting.
If you would like to save some money and also reduce your weekly or monthly food shopping bill, then make sure to come along on the night for advice & tips. Sharon will also be giving advice and tips on food waste prevention. Everyone is welcome to attend.
