Free Electrical Recycling Day Swinford 2026
We wish to advise that there will be a free electrical recycling day (WEEE Recycling Event) at Swinford Golf Club, on Saturday, 7th March 2026, from 10am – 4pm. Householders will have an opportunity to recycle any waste electrical items, batteries or energy saving lightbulbs for FREE. Literally anything household with a plug, a lead, or a battery, at the end of its useful life. This includes both large and small household items. Recycling e-waste is beneficial for the environment and the economy. By recycling e-waste, it is diverted from landfill, and it recovers raw materials for reuse. It also ensures that hazardous materials in these items are safely and responsibly disposed of.
P.R.O. Swinford Tidy Towns. Committee meetings every Tuesday night at 8 in Gateway Hotel. Volunteers meet every Wednesday eve at 7pm (summertime) & every Saturday at 11am (all year) at No Name Club on Chapel St.
