Culmore School Litter Pick
Swinford tidy towns committee would like to thank Culmore school, students and teachers, for the recent litter pick. The students did a litter pick from the school out to the Swinford bypass on Monday last.
We had 4 seasons in one hour!
The weather on Monday morning was not shaping for the best, however, a little wind and rain wasn’t going to stop these guys! Typically we can have 4 seasons in one day here in Mayo, on Monday, during the litter pick we had the 4 seasons in an hour!
There was no litter being left behind!
In total there were 7 bags of rubbish and recyclables collected. This is a big reduction on the previous litter pick by the school, which is brilliant news. Thanks again to all the students and teachers at Culmore school. All the students were great to work with and are a credit. Thanks also to the Gateway Hotel for the refreshments afterwards, it was most welcome!
