christmas tree recycling signNow that the Christmas festivities are over and some of your new year resolutions broken, why not make a new resolution and recycle more? There are numerous Christmas tree recycling depots around County Mayo where you can drop off your Christmas for free for recycling. In Swinford and surrounding areas, drop off your tree at the Council depot at Kilkelly road, (on the right beside the industrial estate) Trees will be accepted up until next Saturday 18th January. Please make sure all decorations are removed from trees.  You can also recycle any Christmas cards and envelopes for free, by dropping them into your local Library.

Claremorris: Car park of Area Office.

Kiltimagh: Council Depot, Kilcun, Kiltimagh.

Louisburgh: Car park, Chapel Street, Louisburgh.

Newport: Recycling Centre at Derrinumera Landfill Site.
