2021 National Tidy Towns Results Announced Today
The 2021 National Tidy Towns results were announced at a ceremony in the RDS in Dublin earlier today. Overall there were 847 entries in this years competition. Ennis in county Clare was declared the winner of the tidiest town in 2021.
The other main winners this year were;
- Geashill, Co. Offaly awarded Ireland’s Tidiest Village.
- Abbeyleix, Co. Laois awarded Ireland’s Tidiest Small Town.
- Cobh, Cork South awarded Ireland’s Tidiest Large Town.
- Ennis, Co. Clare awarded Ireland’s Tidiest Large Urban Centre.
Swinford were awarded an extra 6 points on the last competition held in 2019. This year we were awarded 291 points, 6 points up from 285 awarded in 2019.
P.R.O. Swinford Tidy Towns. Committee meetings every Tuesday night at 8 in Gateway Hotel. Volunteers meet every Wednesday eve at 7pm (summertime) & every Saturday at 11am (all year) at No Name Club on Chapel St.
