2014 Clean Street League Award Winners

The 2014 Clean Street League Award Winners Announced.

The 2014 Clean Street league Award winners were announced last night at the Awards ceremony in the Gateway Hotel Swinford. This is the third year of the competition, the first of which was in 2012. We would like to thank Tesco Swinford for once again sponsoring the Clean Street League and for their continued support. The standard of the street league, which includes all the estates, has improved this year making it all the more difficult for the Judges. Swinford Tidy Towns committee would like to thank the Judges for their dedication and committment in judging the competition, they had a very difficult and time comsumning job. There are 16 streets and 25 estates to be judged each month, that’s no easy task.

Judging notes:

“The standard of litter control was very high in almost all streets and estates which meant that what separated the various areas was the level of planting – both in gardens and on the streetscape – and the overall presentation of the buildings and the open areas.”
