2014 Christmas tree recycling in Swinford.
Now that the Christmas festivities are over and some of your new year resolutions broken, why not make a new resolution and recycle more? There are numerous Christmas tree recycling depots around County Mayo where you can drop off your Christmas for free for recycling. In Swinford and surrounding areas, drop off your tree at the Council depot at Kilkelly road, (on the right beside the industrial estate). Trees will be accepted until Saturday the 17th of January 2015.
Please ensure all decorations are removed from Christmas trees prior to recycling.
Please note that the above locations are the only drop off points provided by Mayo County Council for Christmas Trees. Trees deposited at any other public locations will be treated as litter and Litter Pollution Fines will apply. Ballinrobe: Mayo County Council Area Office, Kilmaine Road.
Ballyhaunis: Beside Bottle Banks in the car-park, Ballyhaunis.
Belmullet: Civic Office Car-Park, Church Road, Belmullet.
Castlebar: Castlebar Area Depot, beside Topoil at Cash & Carry, Moneen.
Claremorris: Thornhill House, (old council office) Killeenfarna.
Louisburgh: Car park, Chapel Street, Louisburgh.
Newport: Recycling Centre at Derrinumera Landfill Site. (Contact 098 41632 for opening times).
Swinford: Mayo County Council Pound, Kilkelly Road, Swinford.
Westport: Council Depot, Ballinrobe Road, Westport.
