Swinford Tidy Towns National Spring Clean Good Friday 2015
Swinford Tidy Towns will again be taking part in this years An Taisce annual National Spring Clean. We had a very successful clean up last year in the National Spring Clean, with the help of 24th Mayo Swinford Scout Troop along with Scoil Muire & Treasa Green Schools.
Swinford Tidy Towns annual National Spring Clean will take place on Good Friday the 3rd of April @ 11am. If you have an hour or two to spare, please come along. We will be meeting up at the No Name Club on Chapel Street Swinford at 11 am on Good Friday morning. Tabard’s, gloves, litter picker’s, rubbish and recycling bags will be provided by Swinford Tidy Towns on the day.
The National Spring Clean campaign, Ireland’s largest anti-litter initiative, has been taking place nationwide throughout the month of April and saw more than half a million people come together in community groups to organise clean ups to improve their local community and environment. Swinford Tidy Towns take part in the spring clean every year on Good Friday morning. The National Spring Clean is Ireland’s largest anti-litter initiative organised by An Taisce and funded by the Department of the Environment, Community and Local Government.
Groups registered for the National Spring Clean with An Taisce are automatically covered by An Taisce’s Public Liability Insurance policy. Public Liability covers the organizer(s) of a clean-up in the event of an accident occurring to a volunteer or a member of the public or their property that may be attributed to the organiser’s negligence, or to that of one of their volunteers.
