Swinford Stream Clean Up
Swinford Tidy Towns in conjunction with East Mayo Anglers in Swinford organised the Swinford Stream Clean Up.
Swinford tidy towns in conjunction with East Mayo Anglers Association, based in Swinford, have in recent years undertaken the Swinford Stream Clean Up. The Swinford stream which runs through the town is also known as the Derryronan river. Not many people know but this stream is a hive of natural biodiversity. There is even more life now in the stream since the regular clean ups of it have taken place. The Swinford stream is a tributary of the River Moy and is a spawning ground for Trout and Salmon.
