Bike Week is a celebration and promotion of all that’s great about bikes and cycling. Held over a week in June of each year with bike themed events organised by local authorities, community groups and cycling groups throughout Ireland. National bike week will take place this year from the 14th to the 22nd of June.
From free bike checks, fun cycles, lunchtime city rides, heritage cycles, electric bike races, school cycling events, bike festivals, road races and much more. There’s something for every age and ability. Join the fun at this year’s Bike Week. Where will your bike take you?

Bike To Work Scheme
The Bike to Work scheme is a tax incentive scheme to encourage more people to commute to work by bike. Bike to Work allows employees to purchase bikes, bike parts, and accessories to the value of €1,000. Repayment is deducted from your gross salary, over a period of up to 12 months. The scheme applies to all bicycles and to electric bicycles (pedelacs). Employees can avail of the scheme every five years.
