Looking for help bulb planting this Saturday 28th

volunteers we need your helpSwinford Tidy Towns are looking for help planting bulbs, if you have an hour or two to spare this Saturday 28th November. Swinford Tidy Towns will be helping out Swinford Amenity Park committee and Swinford Scouts plant hedging and daffodil bulbs, all along the Amenity Park wall. This will make a huge difference to the appearance of one of the main entrances into Swinford town.

We will be meeting at the Amenity Park at 10 am this Saturdy 28th November. All the heavy groundwork will have been done beforehand. A digger will have all the ground dug over for us beforehand, to make things an awful lot easier for us! The more help we have on the day, the faster the project will be completed! As always with the Irish weather, be prepared for all seasons in one day. All help on the day will be greatly appreciated, thanks.

bulb planting on Kilkelly road swinford

Some bulb planting recently at Kilkelly road.

In the last six weeks or so, we have planted approximately 8,000 bulbs, at various locations around Swinford town. We hope to see a great splash of colour next year, from January to October. We just hope we didn’t plant them upside down, or else they’ll be appearing somewhere down in Australia!
